Hantam Grondverskuiwing, one of the largest deep plowing and dam building contractors in the Western Cape, has expanded its fleet of large dozers with the purchase of two new Caterpillar D9R dozers from Barloworld Equipment company, Bellville.

Hantam Grondverskuiwing owns a fleet of Caterpillar machines ranging from D6 to D10 dozers, as well as excavators and is currently evaluating the new CAT725 articulated dump truck supplied by Barloworld Equipment.

The company has two B30D's, a B20C and five B25C ADT's and seven Excavators, a HD820, HD1430, HD1023 and CAT330C/8. In total the company has about 30 pieces of plant suited to bulk earthworks.

The C and D-series Bell dumpers are good machines and handle the slippery conditions when building dams extremely well. The Bell Excavators are also strong machines.
